New-look Titans raising ticket prices across the board

The Titans have made big changes that they expect will produce a better product on the field.

And their fans are certainly going to expect it considering the team is raising ticket prices across the board. The increases range from $2-$12 per seat.Titans3logos

Even with the hikes, the Titans will continue to rank as one of the cheapest tickets in the NFL. But given that fans in a lot of markets are finding more reasons to stay home, I’m sure many of you will cringe at the news.

Amy Adams Strunk wrote a letter to go in a season-ticket package that was emailed out this morning.

“In the enclosed paperwork, you will see an increase in pricing for your tickets this year,” she wrote. “I trust you can see the progress we are making as a football team and can see the direct results of your investment.

I don't know that Mike Vrabel could have done better with coordinators

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Titans hired Mike Vrabel a week after they fired Mike Mularkey.

IMG 6119It took the Titans inexperienced head coach eight days to lock up his two coordinators.

And it looks to be a good combination.

In offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur, Vrabel gets a coach who’s worked under and well-regarded offensive minds: Mike Shanahan, Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay.

Titans expected to hire Matt LaFleur as offensive coordinator

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans appear poised to hire Rams offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur as their new offensive coordinator.

TitansSwordchoppyIt’s a coup for Mike Vrabel, who was hired as the Titans head coach on Jan. 22.

LaFleur was one of three candidates general manager Jon Robinson interviewed for the Titans head coaching post, which opened when Mike Mularkey fired on Jan. 15.

In time with Houston, Washington and Atlanta, LaFleur, 38, has worked under three offensive minds who did good work putting quarterbacks on the move: Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan and Mike Shanahan.

He will be a first-time NFL play-caller in Tennessee.

Mike Vrabel lands a mentor to help coach Titans' defense

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In Dean Pees, Mike Vrabel brings in one of his mentors to mentor his new roster.

Recently retired as defensive coordinator in Baltimore, Pees has done an about-face and will take on the same role with the Tennessee Titans for his one-time pupil.

The two worked together with the Patriots.

The news came to light via the high school where Pees’ son, Matt Pees, was coaching. Matt Pees is also joining the Titans staff.

Pees, 68, replaces Dick LeBeau, 80, as the Titans defensive coordinator.

Yes, it's lame by the league not to sell Titans Pro Bowl jerseys

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – So Delanie Walker won offensive MVP at the NFL’s annual glorified seven-on-seven game and people can’t buy his IMG 6111jersey.

Fans were pissed heading into the game that there were no Titans jerseys on sale. Walker, Kevin Byard and Brynden Trawick were alternates added later, so I think they may be understandable.

But Jurrell Casey, Taylor Lewan and Brett Kern were on the initial roster.

Most years I’d say they did you a favor and saved you some money. But these jerseys are actually easy on the eye compared to a lot of Pro Bowl versions.

And whether I think you should buy them or not, they should be available.

Onto your questions...

Craig Murray More of a university paper than a question but here goes ...

When I look at teams with a history of excellence, I see teams that have ownership committed to building a culture of excellence that permeates the entire organization and is reflected in management, coaches, and the players. When these
