Amid defensive revamp, Kevin Byard reflects on being secondary's last man standing

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Just two seasons ago, Kevin Byard was in the middle of a great defensive backfield group that looked like it had a big future together if one considered the contract situations.

He and Kenny Vaccaro manned the safety spots of the Titans' secondary, with Malcolm Butler, Adoree' Jackson and Logan Ryan as the top three cornerbacks.ByardEagles

Only Ryan could have been viewed as a potential short-timer then as the gang hung on Kerry Coomb's teachings.

Now, Byard is the last man standing.
