NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  Call it to close, call it ugly, call it lucky.

It’s all accurate.

But there was something that felt different about this one at the end, where the Titans found a winning drive and put up the winning score with 36 seconds left against a top-flight red zone defense.IMG 3935

Titans 24, Bengals 20.

I said last week you should expect a zig-zagging team, and the Titans delivered that again while winning a fourth consecutive game sof the first time since 2009.

With six wins and three losses they head to Pittsburgh on Thursday night looking for a fourth win in a four-week stretch of games against the AFC North.

all f the Jaguars lose to the Chargers, the Titans will be 1.5 games up in the AFC South.

This one felt a bit more like it was about grit and resolve, though if the Titans had time to review the film they’d see a slew of missed opportunities including near-killer mistakes by Rishard Matthews and Corey Davis, who can’t be dropping or fumbling away sure touchdown receptions.
