The Titans' pass protection has improved, and three offensive linemen explain how a less rigid coaching approach has helped their confidence and performance.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans' offensive line is playing better in 2026, and the players say a more flexible approach from new position coach Carmen Bricillo has helped change the atmosphere in the room.
JC Latham returned with a different mindset and looks much more like a No. 7 pick. Peter Skoronski remains steady but now rates as a veteran with a four-year, $100 million extension. With the exception of a dud against the Texans, Dan Moore has been largely unnoticed, which is what the Titans hope for from a largely average left tackle.
With new center Austin Schlottmann and a revolving door at right guard, where injuries to Fernando Carmona and Jackson Slater have left Atonio Mafi as the current starter, the line has moved up a level in what’s been the most concerning area: pass pressure.
Cam Ward is taking two sacks a game compared to 3.3 as a rookie and is getting pressured 7.7 times a game as opposed to 10.4 in 2025, per Pro Football Reference.
The Titans are faring reasonably well in a number of offensive line metrics.

The biggest new factor has been offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo, whose style is a significant contrast to that of Bill Callahan, who brought a big résumé and reputation to Nashville but did not work as his son Brian’s line coach in 23 games in 2024 and 2025.
