The former Titans safety is no longer co-hosting Cover Two with Zach Lyons, ending a run at the Nashville sports radio station that began in January 2010.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Former Titans standout Blaine Bishop has been let go by 104.5 The Zone and is no longer part of Cover Two, which he hosted daily with Zach Lyons from 1- 3 p.m.

He’s been with the station since January 2010 when he joined 3HL and also served as part of the Titans’ flagship station’s pre- and postgame shows during his tenure. His last appearance on Cover Two was last Thursday, Oct. 15.

The Zone recently took down the picture of Bishop with Lyons from the Cover Two web page, as well as the archives of the show. It then took down pictures of the talent of other shows to make their pages match, using only logos. The show’s archives have been restored. Still, another of the show’s pages now comes up as a dead link.

Bishop and Lyons did not return text messages. Neither did Allison Warren, vice president and market manager for Cumulus Media, who oversees the zone.

Bishop played 10 years in the NFL, nine with the Oilers/Titans franchise and one with Philadelphia. He was a four-time Pro Bowler.

Producer Ross Johnston has filled in for Bishop since Friday.

The on-air talent from all The Zone’s shows was in New York Tuesday for the Marconi Awards. The station and one of its podcasts, The Install with Greg Cosell, were nominated but did not win.

One of 3HL’s hosts, Dawn Davenport, tweeted a picture. It did not include Bishop.

Disclosure: I worked for nine years as a full-time host of The Midday 180 on The Zone and now appear as a regular guest on 102.5 The Game.
