NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Cam Ward’s sprained throwing shoulder does not require surgery, and he does not expect it to alter his offseason plan.
Ward's shoulder was jammed into the turf at EverBank Stadium as he scored a 7-yard touchdown in the first quarter of the Titans' season finale, a 41-7 loss to the Jaguars.
“This doesn’t push (my offseason work) back at all,” he said. “I’m working on my base with my mechanics; I’m not changing my throwing motion so the timetable for what I have set to get to mechanically is still on schedule.”
Ward said he wants to carry over the efficient elements of the offense from the offensive line and running game while getting the right head coach and a couple more playmakers to help set the team on the right course to score a lot of points in 2026.
#Titans received positive news on Cam Ward. AC joint sprain. Surgery has NOT been recommended. They feel it’s best-case scenario.

I don’t know if tests confirmed initial report of grade 3.
His offseason will include a great deal of film study during shoulder rehab, mechanics work and beyond.
“I think film can take care of more than anything on the field can take care of,” he said.
Wearing a gray hooded jacket with his hands stuffed in the pockets and no sling on his arm, he said he was feeling good and thankful as he spoke to reporters on locker cleanout day.
Across the team, players spent the last two days expressing confidence in him.
“I think we have a guy who can win us games as the position,” Peter Skoronski said.
Ward’s rookie season complete, what did he learn?
“Well, I learned get your helmet down on a quarterback sneak or they’ll pop your ass,” he said, referring to the play on which he was injured. “The other thing I learned was you can throw late back across the middle in the NFL.
“The third thing I learned is you’ve got to really learn the game to play it. I see a lot of guys who love it but there’s a way you can love it just a little more.”
