The Titans enter October winless after a cold, rainy New York slopfest resulted in a 12-7 loss to the Giants. Their offense has been relegation-level inept, Cam Ward has struggled and all signs point toward another bottom-of-the-league season.
Despite the lack of offensive production, the early stages of 2026 have produced some important flashes from a few of the Titans’ key young offensive pieces.
With the Titans officially through their first three games, they once again enter the month of October winless. Leaving a cold, rainy, New York slopfest that resulted in a 12-7 loss at the hands of the Giants, things look suffocatingly bleak for Tennessee.
Beyond what his modest stat line of six catches for 58 yards would convey, first-round rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate made a strong showing against the Giants on Sunday. He’d been solid through the first two weeks, primarily a victim of unfortunate timing against an overwhelming amount of zone coverage. Against New York, though, he finally saw enough man coverage to display his prowess as a separator, and his performance far outshone his impact on the box score.
