Derrick Henry Endorses New Titans' Backfield, Expresses Love for Nashville

The same day he agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens, Derrick Henry said his former team is in good shape at running back as it moves on from him.

"I think TP is a great pick up for them," Henry said in a text, referring to Tony Pollard who the Titans agreed to terms with on Monday. "Tyjae (Spears) & him will be a great dynamic duo. TP is a good dude, y’all will love him."

Henry spent eight years with the Titans finishing with 2,030 carries for 9,502 yards and 90 rushing touchdowns, with three additional; receiving TDs. He trails only Eddie George (10,009) in team annals in rushing yards.

Kuharsky megaphoneI asked him about the possibility of playing against the Titans for one of their biggest rivals.

“Definitely will be weird lol,” he wrote. “I have so much love for everyone in that organization, the fans, & the city of Nashville. Still have the soccer team so I’ll still be around.”

Henry is a minority owner of Nashville SC of MLS.

He got a reported two-year deal worth $16 million that could end up being worth $20 million.

Pollard deal is a reported three-year, $24 million deal that lacks more detail.

We'll need to see further details on both to judge them better.

Pollard is a much better pass catcher than Henry and is four years younger, the major reasons the Titans moved in a different direction.
