There have been plenty of bright moments for the Titans' rookie class this season. There have been eye-popping throws from Cam Ward, promising catches by Elic Ayomanor and Gunnar Helm and Chimere Dike has emerged as the NFL’s best return man in addition to making some impressive plays of his own as a receiver.

This week, it was third-round pick Kevin Winston Jr.’s turn to flash upside. After being eased back into action coming off an ACL injury suffered during his final year at Penn State, Winston started to work his way into the rotation at safety before the bye, playing 21 snaps and 26 snaps against the Colts and Chargers, respectively.

However, Quandre Diggs’s release and an injury to Xavier Woods opened up an opportunity for Winston to step in as the starter alongside Amani Hooker this past week and he did not disappoint, posting six total tackles, two solo stops, and a quarterback hit in a starting debut that looked even more impressive than the numbers suggest.
