ATLANTA – The Titans will stick with Jamil Douglas at right guard at the start of Sunday afternoon’s game against the Falcons, but Nate Davis will take over the position at some point and could finish there if he plays well enough.
Why the Titans are taking that strategy rather than starting the third-round pick out of Charlotte isn’t clear. But they need a boost on the offensive line where Douglas has been part of a line that’s given up 17 sacks thorough three games. He was manhandled by Calais Campbell in Tennessee’s last game, in Jacksonville.
The Titans are likely to keep eight offensive linemen active to give themselves enhanced options.

Kevin Pamphile is out again with his knee injury. He and Davis have been inactive for all three games this season and after he was added to the roster following Week 1, center Hroniss Grasu has also been a scratch.
Grasu is likely to be up for this game which would probably mean Aaron Stinnie is down.
If the Titans do go with eight on the offensive line, they will need to go light at a different spot. Tight end Anthony Firkser could be a candidate.
UPDATE: The inactive list is out.
.@S_Finch6 inactive. Started all three games, so that's an odd one. Expecting more Reggie Gilbert. Hoping more Cam Wake.
