Mailbag: If Mike Mularkey was forced to make a change to his staff

For starters, Mike Mularkey only has one year on his contract after this one, and presumably, the majority of his staff is in line with that. (Outside of Dick LeBeau, who I believe is year-to-year.) The prevalent thinking of many fans is, get a new assistant and things change dramatically. Mularkey has control of his staff, not Jon Robinson. And Mularkey's assistants are doing what he asks them to do or what he signs off on them doing.

Having Amy Adams Strunk or Robinson issue a directive for a change on the staff is not the same -- or as important, frankly -- as issuing a directive about a change in approach.
