No professional sports league sells hope to all fan bases better every year than the NFL. Fortunes can change quickly, as we saw most recently with the 2024 Washington Commanders, who went from 4-13 to 12-5 runners-up in the NFC in one offseason.

That ability to change fortunes in a hurry makes the NFL Draft the massive event that it is and one of my personal favorite sports weekends on the calendar every year.

And it also makes this piece my favorite column to write each year. This isn’t a big board or a mock draft. This is just a list of players in this draft who I feel strongly about outplaying their current projected draft position who would also fit the Titans roster.

I usually give a few names specifically for the first overall pick, but this year that feels like a waste of time as Cam Ward will be Tennessee’s next attempt at landing a franchise quarterback with the top pick. So, instead, I’ll talk a bit about the overall draft strategy and then dive into the rest of the list, which is made up of two players at each position that will likely be available around pick 35 or later.
