One of the most interesting aspects of the NFL Draft, to me, is the fact that it’s one of the few times where a team can very clearly tell you, through their actions, what they want to be as a franchise and what traits they’re looking for in players at specific positions.
Sure, Mike Borgonzi can tell us that they want “big, fast, tough football players who love winning more than anything else” and that’s great, you’ll find zero NFL teams looking for small, slow, soft players who love
compiling stats more than anything else. The fact is that all teams give some version of Borgonzi’s answer when asked how they want to build their football team.
