NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans got a gift of a trade to move up five spots in the fourth round with Baltimore.
They gave up Nos. 136 and 183 in exchange for 141 and 178.
And with 136 they snatched Stanford receiver Elic Ayomanor, a player who had a monster game against Travis Hunter in an OT win over Colorado in Boulder. Much of his 13 catches for 294 yards and three touchdowns came vs. Hunter, including the game-winner in extra time.

He’s almost 6-foot-2, weighs 206 pounds and ran a 4.44.
That made for three Round Four targets for Cam Ward: Receiver Chimere Dike, tight end Gunnar Helm and Ayomanor.
“I think I’m a dynamic playmaker, but more than that, I think my strength is my mind,” he said. “I think I’m really gritty and I’m willing to do whatever it takes, I’m willing to block in the run game. Again, my mind is my greatest strength, so I’ll just continue to improve and get better.”
He’s eager to fight for a spot in the Titans rotation.
“Every game and every practice, I’m going to be putting my best effort out there before that even I’m going to be preparing like my life depends on it,” he said. “I’m just really excited for that little competition.”
He’s got a history of knee injuries. He suffered a torn PCL in 2021 in high school and a torn ACL/MCL in August of 2022. But he was a durable player for his final two college seasons, during which he caught 125 passes for 1,844 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Blake Beddingfield on Ayomanor:
Solid size and frame. Has some false steps on his release vs. press man coverage. Doesn’t separate consistently. Good hands. Can snatch and make adjustments with them. Not an instant run-after-catch or make-a-defender-miss runner, gets what is there. Doesn’t play consistently up to his timed speed and explosive measurements. Solid short-to-intermediate receiver and has some strength when running after the catch, but not a lot of explosive yards. Has good zone awareness and tracking of the ball. Eventual starter but not from the start. No. 3-type receiver with a ceiling of a No. 2.
James Foster on Ayomanor:
Strengths
• Possesses an NFL build with very good size & length
• Productive despite a disastrous surrounding core at Stanford
• Varied release arsenal & concise footwork to create space vs. press
• Effortless hip-sink to snap off breaks & separate on comebacks
• Smooth & efficient footwork as an intermediate route runner
• Salesmanship & fluid change of pace to punish aggressive CBs on double moves
• Effective hand usage to break contact at the top of routes
• Understands timing & spacing to maximize space vs. zone coverage
• Flashes of dominance on contested targets
• Strong runner who can power through sticks coverage to convert on late downs
• Had an elite performance against Travis Hunter in 2023
• Productive run blocker with exceptional size, effort, & technique
Weaknesses
• Lacks speed & explosiveness to stack press & pull away from coverage downfield
• Modest twitch/explosiveness out of breaks
• Gets stuck to jams at the LOS & lacks short-area burst to free himself
• Needs to be more active with his hands to counter aggressive press
• Focus drops are a bit of a problem (6 drops & 8.7% drop rate each of the last 2 seasons)
• Inconsistent leveraging space & high-pointing jump balls
• Has issues surviving contact at the catch point
• Waits for the ball instead of working back & attacking it
• Struggles to bend & adjust to throws behind him
• Not very dangerous or dynamic after the catch
