NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans weren’t going to re-sign Roger McCreary to a second contract. They told us that with Monday’s deal of him to the Rams.
So they gave up nine more games of their steady nickelback and moved up in the 2026 draft.
They get back the fifth-round pick they dealt to LA in the Aug. 27, 2024 deal for Ernest Jones and give up whatever turns out to be the worst of their three sixth-round picks – they have their own, one that originally belonged to the Ravens, and one that belonged to the Rams.
The Titans have a thin pool of cornerbacks now.

Interim coach Mike McCoy said they will spend the week assessing their options.
"You've got to look at who does what best, " he said. "That's something that the defensive staff will look at in the next couple of days and say these are the changes we need to make to put the players in the right positions and move a couple guys around. Whatever we need to do."
