The Titans traded a third-round pick for L’Jarius Sneed last offseason, but have yet to see any return on that investment. Sneed played just five games (poorly) before being placed on injured reserve, and every medical update and off-field development makes me less confident he’ll ever be a meaningful contributor in Tennessee.

When the Titans acquired Sneed, they thought they were adding a tenacious tone-setting presence to their defensive backfield. The trade now looks like a waste of a third-round pick and arguably the worst move in Ran Carthon’s short tenure, but the Titans ended up finding the rugged press corner they were looking for with a Day Three draft pick.
