NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- While the focus before Sam Ficken arrived was on the Titans’ inexperience at kicker, another big void in the Titans’ special teams has gone relatively unnoticed.
The five guys who’ve caught punts so far for Craig Aukerman don’t amount to a deep group with a lot of experience.
Adoree’ Jackson, the 18th pick in the 2017 draft, was supposed to be a quality cornerback and an electric return man. But that special teams’ element never took off and he couldn’t even dependably field balls, losing the job completely after just two seasons.
The Titans pulled the rug on Jackson’s fifth-year option in the spring and he landed with the Giants.
