The Titans' 2026 draft haul is complete and there are some very clear themes throughout the class. We’ll explore those themes here as well as touch on some thoughts about what looks like a very impressive crop of undrafted free agents.

Mild surprise at No. 4

After months of debate about Jeremiyah Love versus the top edge rushers in the class, the Titans threw a bit of a curveball by selecting Carnell Tate at pick No. 4. It’s not that Tate was never part of the discussion, he was, however he was always on the fringe as most draft analysts believed Jeremiyah Love would still be on the board for the Titans and that he’d be the pick if Tennessee wanted to go with an offensive weapon.

On the Monday of draft week, I wrote a short Twitter thread outlining my preference for pick No. 4. 

My first choice, as those of you who have read here frequently this offseason know well, was David Bailey, who went to the Jets at pick No. 2.

My second choice was Love, who went to Arizona at pick No. 3 in the first real curveball of the draft.

My third choice was Tate ahead of Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese.
