Tennessee Titans fans might be starting to feel some deja vu, but despite another close, gritty preseason win against an NFC West team, the cloud hanging over the 2-0 team remains depressingly stormy.
Tennessee left its second preseason matchup with a 19-16 win over the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. However, this win came courtesy of 16 unanswered points after the Titans’ starters mercifully withdrew from a beatdown via Seattle’s backups.
A 2-0 preseason start already comes with a few thousand grains of salt on a regular basis, but a 2-0 preseason start in which a majority of the roster’s most significant pieces have played downright poorly is less than ideal.
