NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A grand jury indicted Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed on Tuesday in Dallas County Texas for the failure to report a felony where a reasonable person would have believed serious bodily harm or death may have resulted.
It’s a Class A misdemeanor, which is punishable by a maximum of one year in jail, a $4,000 fine or both.
A trial date does not yet appear to be set.
Tekonzae Warmek Williams, who identifies himself on LinkedIn as Sneed’s personal assistant, was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Williams’ actions are what Sneed allegedly witnessed.
The Titans offered this statement: “We are aware of the legal matter with L’Jarius Sneed and have remained in contact with NFL security per league protocol. We will have no further comment during an ongoing investigation.”
In a connected civil suit, Christian Nshimiyimana and Avi Ahmed seek over $1 million in compensatory damages, fees and relief for infliction of bodily injury (though there were no reported gunshot wounds), threat of bodily injury, intentional infliction of emotional distress, civil conspiracy and negligence.
That suit alleges that Sneed and Williams pulled up in a rented Lamborghini Urus on Dec. 6, 2024 and shot multiple times at him in a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, which was struck by bullets, as was One Legacy Motors, outside which the vehicle was parked.
In his official answer to those accusations, Sneed’s attorney, Michael J. Todd, wrote that: “Defendant isnot liable as alleged by Plaintiff because the alleged conduct was the criminal act of a third party. The alleged acts, if any, were performed by John Doe without any assistance, encouragement, or direction by L’Jarius Sneed.
Joe Doe was later identified as Williams.

Sneed told me in the summer during Titans training camp that he no longer associated with Williams.
Sneed played seven games for the Titans before suffering a quad injury against New England on Oct. 19 and is currently on injured reserve. He's been injury-prone and unproductive since the Titans traded a third-round pick to Kansas City for him in the spring of 2024.
The Titans can get out of the final two years of his contract by cutting him and swallowing $8.1 million in dead money after this season, according to OvertheCap.com.
