NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans and rookie Cam Ward looked different than they have all season for the first two offensive drives against New England. Their first two plays were passes with good run after the catch, immediately putting the team in field goal range.

Then the Titans settled into who they really are --the pressure on the QB allowed by the right and left tackles, a few untimely penalties putting them behind the sticks and off target passes by the rookie Ward, the unforced turnover by Ward that ended with a scoop and score on his fifth fumble lost this season -- and lost 31-13 to the Patriots.

When the Titans' offense struggles, it is never one player or one issue, it is a combination of penalties, negative yardage plays and unforced bad throws or drops. The first two drives of the game showed some hope, but ultimately reverted back to the norm.
