Mike Herndon: What a Titans' offense tailored to Malik Willis would look like

TENNRoofingSTRIPsmallBy MIKE HERNDON, columnist

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans rookie quarterback Malik Willis got the third start of his NFL career on Saturday against the Texans and failed to reach 100 passing yards for the third straight outing. Tennessee has posted scoring totals of 17, 17, and 14 in those three games.Malik Willis

Obviously, not all the blame for those struggles should be placed at the feet of the young passer. It’s not like Ryan Tannehill has been lighting things up on the scoreboard this year when he’s been behind center in 2022. Lack of receiver and offensive line talent remain central issues, as does an offensive coordinator that fails to put his players in positions to succeed. (Photo courtesy Tennessee Titans.)
