The precipitous fall of the Titans from one of the NFL’s top teams to a cellar dweller has many explanations. The frequent, sometimes rash, changing of leadership in the front office and coaching staff is a big one, as is the ill-fated trade of star wide receiver A.J. Brown during the 2022 NFL Draft. 

The deterioration of the offensive line ranks right alongside as a third major factor in the crash of the Titans.

The 2021 version of this team that earned the top seed in the AFC and was a deflected and intercepted Ryan Tannehill pass away from hosting an AFC Championship game still had stalwarts Taylor Lewan, Rodger Saffold, Ben Jones, and Nate Davis comprising 80 percent of the trenches on offense.
