NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Years ago, when I was driven out of a lovely Nashville neighborhood of bungalows by a country music star who insisted on building a tower with a recording studio and a dance club right next door, I left a box in a high storage area of our old house

Remarkably, about 13 years later, the owner reached out to my wife to see if it was ours and I was able to go pick it up.

I'm not one to display a bunch of memorabilia. But if I was, the box was filled with the sort of stuff that would be on offices shelves not in storage.

I opened it in this video with the assistance of my nine-year-old son. I think you will really be interested in a couple of the items that qualify as one-of-a-kind Titans' stuff.

Before those jobs ended, a guy with back problems talked openly about how he believed he’d have CTE as a result of concussions and hits to the head during his 11-year career.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – So Mike Vrabel did clever work to fend it off.

During his appearance on “Bussin’ with the Boys,” the fun podcast hosted by Taylor Lewan and Will Compton he said lazy reporters were bound to pick up something from it and make it a story.

Then on the episode, where a generally unguarded guy was even more unguarded, he said something that he was absolutely worthy of being picked up and written about. [Unlocked]

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Titans’ upgrades at wide receiver bump some guys down to more suitable spots in the rotation.

Corey Davis should be the guy with the most snaps, and Adam Humphries may be right behind him depending on how the Titans deploy him outside of three-wide sets when he’s automatically the slot guy.

The hope would be that A.J. Brown will quickly establish himself as a top-three guy, which would then rank Taywan Taylor fourth, Tajae Sharpe fifth and Darius Jennings and Cameron Batson vying for sixth and seventh -- spots that 

The Titans started last season with six wide receivers on the roster: Davis, Rishard Matthews, Taylor, Sharpe, Batson and Jennings. They finished the year with five: That group minus Matthews, who asked for and got his release early in the season.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Dennis Kelly is locked in as a tackle for the Titans, but there was a time Chip Kelly thought he was purely a guard.

But I think that made the conversation that much better as we discussed Disney princesses, how Kelly learned of his trade from the Eagles to the Titans, his best friends, bads drivers and super-athletic dogs.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- When it comes to analysts, or  “analysts,” not thinking much of the Titans, I consistently tell you to pay them no heed.

I have a hard time understanding why so many Titans' fans get so worked up when a no-name fantasy analyst they’ve never heard of before who’s a league employee says the Titans will win three games. (I mentioned in my recent mailbag.)

Even if you’re an overly optimistic homer, you know more about the team than he does, unless you consider having a great degree of fantasy-ranking knowledge counting as in-depth knowledge of a team.

But I do wonder why Vegas, which typically knows what is what, is down on the Titans.

According to Sascha Paruk from SBD, oddsmakers consider the AFC South one of the most wide-open divisions in the NFL.
