With 15 modern-era finalists that included no-clear cut first-ballot newcomer, the selection committee of 49 -- of which I am honored to be one -- chose Tony Boselli, Sam Mills, Richard Seymour, Bryant Young and LeRoy Butler.

Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel get what they deserved

Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel got what they deserved.

Tuesday, the Titans announced contract extensions for their general manager and coach. The lengths are unknown, but the duo had deals that ran through 2022.

Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel

Amy Adams Strunk is wise to make the move, which was a no-brainer and never seemed in doubt. The two bring the franchise excellent stability.

Tim Kelly addition shows again Mike Vrabel's willingness to supplement staff

LOS ANGELES -- A year after Mike Vrabel supplemented his defensive staff with an extra coach to serve as a resource for his defensive coordinator, he’s going a bit further on the offensive side of the ball.

While Vrabel never said much about the role of senior defensive assistant Jim Schwartz, Shane Bowen said Schwartz was an “invaluable resource” to him.Tim Kelly

Now Vrabel is bringing in Tim Kelly on the offensive side, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Per Chase McCabe of 102.5 The Game, he will be “senior offensive assistant/ passing game coordinator.”

That’s obviously a more precise and substantial title than Schwartz's.

Titans hiring Bobby King to replace Jim Haslett

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Bobby King, who's coached the Houston Texans inside linebackers for the last four seasons, is in line to replace Jim Haslett in the same post with the Titans.BobbyKingHT

Haslett was let go three days after the Titans' season ended with an upset at the hands of the Bengals in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. He had one year remaining on his contract.

King was Houston's linebackers coach in 2017 before turning his focus to inside backers and worked with Zach Cunningham, who the Titans claimed off waivers on Dec. 9, 2021. [Unlocked]

Titans don't need to 'micro-evaluate' Ryan Tannehill's playoff game to understand his limits

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jon Robinson’s first public reaction to Ryan Tannehill’s terrible divisional round playoff performance was not surprising.

"To have a micro-evaluation over one game is not fair to any player,” the GM told Jim Wyatt at the Senior Bowl. “I think you have to look at the scope of the body of work, and what he has done for this football team since he has been here."Ryan Tannehill

On a lot of levels, the Titans should be having micro-evaluations of everything, but I get his point.

The thing is, that Tannehill’s playoff failure was not a one-game thing, and I’m not the only person who’s covered this thoroughly.

It’s been universally covered and if not universally agreed upon, quite close to it.

Mailbag: Sorting through Ryan Tannehill 'solutions,' the Titans' pain, Todd Downing's status

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – You are not happy to be tuning into Bengals at Chiefs on Sunday instead of seeing the Titans host Kansas City.

It’s still raw, I know.

We’ll try to sort some of it out here, where you asked a lot of good questions.Nick Westbrook-Ikine

The case for, and finances of, re-signing Harold Landry

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The case for a contract for Harold Landry is simple.

Teams try desperately to home grow pass-rush talent. The Titans finally have. And they shouldn’t serve it up to someone else.

Harold Landry

With Landry and Bud Dupree operating as the edge rushers outside Jeffery Simmons and Denico Autry, the Titans' defense transformed into something completely different, and it became the team's defining characteristic.

And if they let Landry leave, they are automatically in a spot where they are desperate for a second outside linebacker, as they were before they signed Dupree.

Rewatch: Wrapping the Titans' season

TitansJesterFanNASHVILLE, Tenn. -- So much to consider.

The Titans' great regular season turned out to be, in the word of A.J. Brown, "pointless," as they lost in terrible fashion to the Cincinnati Bengals at Nissan Stadium.

A few coaches have been let go, a few players are heading to free agency and Ryan Tannehill moves forward with less fan faith than he's ever had since he came to Tennessee in 2019.

S owe gathered and we talked about what's lingering with you from the miserable playoff exit and what's top of mind as the Titans turn to face the offseason.

You can rewatch on the private Facebook page or below.

Thanks to those of you who made it.
